The Mail Box Center opened in 1987. Being the first of it's kind on Long Island, we were a new concept to most people. At that time, most of our customers came in asking, "What is it that you do here?" Our answer was, "Just about anything you would like us to!" As the years passed and the concept of "do it all in one place" seemed to catch on, the word about the Mail Box Center started to spread. Soon, people from as far away as the Hamptons and Montauk started to call us asking about our superb packing and shipping services, copying services, mail receiving and forwarding services and everything else we did or didn't do.

About 10 years ago, looking to expand, we moved a few doors away into our larger facility where we were able to add a few more copying machines, provide more space for our customers, add a conveyor belt to carry the parcels we ship to the rear of the store and two more computers to log in UPS and FedEx packages that we ship throughout the day. We also added storage in the back room for our 80 different sizes of boxes that we make available for our customers.

As technology advances, so does the Mail Box Center. In the past year we have added two brand new fax machines, another color copier and three new manifesting computer systems to process our UPS and FedEx parcels.

As we start our 3rd decade of providing superior services for our customers, we look back on that statement, "What is it that you do here?" and think of our answer. It's what keeps us going... and will continue to for another 20 years!
